Acupuncture

We believe that a balanced body will become a healthy body.Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is focused on the individual expression of disease and illness.Treatment plans are individual. 2 treatments per week for the first 2 weeks are best to start with. 6-8 treatment should show significant improvement

For interventions: twice a week to stabilize, then weekly over 6-8 weeks. Frequency is adjusted with progress.

Shiatsu Therapy

Shiatsu Therapy is applied through clothes. Practitioners use their thumbs and palms to direct the Qi towards balancing the body. In a balanced body Qi is moving freely and harmoniously and good health is achieved.

For interventions: weekly to stabilize, then bi-monthly or monthly.

Integrated and Adjunct Services

Herbal Formulas can significantly enhance acupuncture treatments. Herbal formulas have been tested over hundreds of years and help regulate physical, mental and emotional imbalances. Assume $20-30 per week to add herbals.

Chinese Herbals:

Cups are used to to create a suction. The suction allows underlined stagnation to come to the surface. which will look like bruises. Cupping is re-establishing the circulation. The tissue can breathe again and toxins are carried away.

Cupping:

Gua Sha is a method to gently scrape the skin. If the tissue is healthy, there will be no “rash” or coloring (Sha). Coloring is the result of stagnation which is brought to the surface. The tissue can “breathe” again and heal.

Myokinesthetics:

Myokinesthetics clears the neural pathways in our body. Specific movement are performed along a nerve or a nerve combination. When old holding patterns are cleared, the posture should align and balance and pain will be reduced.

Different manual techniques such as Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Unwinding, Connective Tissue Manipulation are added and mixed as indicated. The techniques add depth and variety to a treatment and are used when therapeutically indicated.
